Perimenopause & Menopause Hormone Therapy

Can hormone therapy help with menopause symptoms?

Hormone therapy can help relieve hot flashes and night sweats, but it is not appropriate for everyone. At Luminous Health and Wellness in Humble, Dr. Diana Medina Galvan reviews your symptoms, medical history, and preferences before discussing treatment. Nonhormonal options are also part of that conversation.

Recognizing the Signs

You don’t have to accept these as a normal part of aging

Every symptom on this list is addressable with the right care plan.

  • Brain fog or confusion
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Lack of energy and fatigue
  • Hot flashes or feeling cold
  • Low libido
  • Hair loss or breakage

Unhurried visits. Symptoms are never dismissed.

Hormone Management

Hormones regulate nearly everything

Energy, mood, sleep, weight, cognition. Shifts during perimenopause and menopause can disrupt your daily life, and many women know something feels off but struggle to find clear answers.

Our approach is to listen, evaluate comprehensively, and uncover the root causes. Not dismiss them.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution

Will every symptom be treated with hormones?

No. Symptoms such as fatigue, changes in weight, and difficulty concentrating can have more than one explanation. Your assessment helps guide the next steps; no single hormone or treatment is the answer for everyone.

The goal is better energy, mental clarity, physical performance, and a renewed sense of vitality.

What it costs, before you call

What does hormone care cost?

The initial assessment is $700. If you choose ongoing hormone-only care, membership is $250 per month with a six-month minimum. Medication costs are separate. Completing the assessment does not automatically enroll you in membership.

Getting Started · One Time

Initial Foundational Assessment

$700

Non-refundable. Includes your lab order, placed the same day you pay.

Over 50 biomarkers are included. Ordered on your own through Labcorp, that panel alone runs more than $1,400.

HSA and FSA eligible.

Ongoing Care · monthly

Membership

$250 / month

Six-month minimum

$2,200 for your first six months. No hidden fees, no insurance games.

Why six months?

Ongoing hormone-only care has a six-month minimum membership term. Follow-up and treatment adjustments depend on your symptoms, response, and medical needs; the membership term is not a promise about when you will feel better.

When hormones are not the whole picture

Hormones and metabolism, together

Some women need hormone therapy and are also dealing with weight, prediabetes, visceral fat, or muscle loss. Those are metabolic concerns, and they need different tools.

We treat them together, not separately. You pay for one assessment, not two.

$425/mo after the Initial Foundational Assessment

Everything you need to know before your first visit

How much does hormone care cost?

Your initial assessment is $700, which includes over 50 biomarkers of lab work and an InBody body composition assessment. If you choose ongoing hormone-only care afterward, membership is $250 per month with a six-month minimum. If you would like both hormone and weight-loss care, combined membership is $425 per month and uses the same single $700 assessment. Weight management and direct primary care are priced separately.

Yes. You can complete your assessment with Dr. Medina Galvan before deciding whether to enroll in ongoing membership. If you choose to continue, you may begin then or on a later agreed date. Paying for the assessment does not automatically enroll you in membership.

The $700 assessment fee is non-refundable. Your lab order is placed the same day you pay, and your visit time with Dr. Medina Galvan is reserved for you. If you need to reschedule your appointment, just let us know and we will find a new time.

Yes. Most routine lab panels check a handful of markers. Your assessment includes over 50 biomarkers, chosen to look at your hormones, thyroid, metabolism, and inflammation together, and Dr. Medina Galvan reviews every result in depth with you. The labs are only one part of the assessment: the full hour with her and your InBody body composition analysis are included too. Please bring your recent results. They help us see how things have changed over time.

The assessment is where Dr. Medina Galvan evaluates your health, explains her findings, and recommends your next steps. If treatment is recommended and you choose to proceed, membership is how we put that plan into action with ongoing treatment and follow-up.

No. Working outside insurance is what allows individualized, unrushed care focused entirely on your clinical needs rather than billing requirements. Everything is explained up front, with no surprises.

Ongoing medical care through office, video, and phone visits. Dr. Medina Galvan follows your progress and adjusts your plan as needed. Medication is not included in the membership fee.

Your prescription insurance may help cover medication filled at the pharmacy. Coverage and your out-of-pocket cost depend on your plan and the medication prescribed. Medication costs are separate from membership.

No. Medications are not included in your membership fee. Prescriptions are filled and paid for separately at the pharmacy. If you have prescription insurance, it may help with the cost depending on your plan and the specific medication. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary.
